 Regardless of writing the myths of success in business and commerce education since 2001 I was the worst student of Engineering in my college time. Being a gold medalist in Finance from University of Karachi & successful Investment Manager of Realty portfolio of US$ 29 million in 2007 I still believe that what I was in DJ Science College was merely horrible.
Cathode, Anode, H2SO4, Magnetic Field, Diffusion, Amplitude, Carrier Wave, Deceleration, Dynamo etc were the terms that hit my brain like rockets. The reason being so sick of Engineering science was not that I was not a capable student. It was actually because I have never been positioned by God in this world to be an Engineer.
Regardless of my intentional non-learning in Physics, I learn one thing intentionally very well i.e. PRESSURE. Pressure i.e. the force per unit area applied in the direction perpendicular to the surface of an object.
I don’t know too much about the scientific use of pressure in machines but I really know how pressure is precious for me in life and my profession. “Force per unit area applied in the direction to the surface of an object”, this one sentence actually has been reshaping me over the years. If I describe force scientifically so, force is any influence that pushes or pulls a free body to undergo acceleration.
Now if we define pressure again so pressure is any influence that pushes or pulls a free body to undergo acceleration per unit area applied in the direction perpendicular to the surface of an object.
This scientific definition gives one confidence that pressure is there for a free body because force can not mobilize slaves. It simply means that if the body of a slave has something free in his soul so he can accelerate and ensure freedom. It is the freedom from excuses and apprehensions. It is pressure that is required to make us move and rock. We always need a certain pressure in our life to move something free in us.
I always reject those ideas in my life that says “Don’t take pressure”. Come On!! Pressure is precious. Pressure gives us a confidence of freedom. Pressure ensures us to accelerate. Pressure always distinct, “who is the horse trained for running and who is the one for dancing”.
It has been my practice that I always like to work on close deadlines. When professors issued deadlines for assignments and projects I always liked to have tough deadlines so I could run fast in competition. I always had two ways before me. First to accomplish assignment in my redefined deadline over supervisor’s one that was even 80% discounted. The second was to start working when deadlines reached her end. It was all because I wanted to test myself in pressure.
Today our majority of youth is seeking for easiest ways to win. But for me winning easy in inferior challenges make it difficult to win a top challenge. Even if I get something easy in life, I try to make it difficult to the extent that I can satisfied my inner who is hungry for pressure and it also helps me to tone myself for the biggest challenges in life and profession.
It is pressure that makes nations and individuals great. China has been living in pressures for last sixty plus years while facing a harsh political warfare from Europe and Americas but they survived excellently in the world economic turmoil as they know how to work in political pressures. They even had understood the lesson of self reliance that makes the whole world rely on their economic decisions. On the other hand Europe and Americas where governments and global political forces had been reducing pressures for businesses, their economies collapsed in the end.
The reality and ability of a true person always reveals in pressure. In this regard everyone has to lab test their very self in chosen pressures. If you are getting 1000 rupees for doing pressure free work and the same money is offered to do something of pressure so the second one add more value. This is the only way that makes you capable enough to deal with abrupt pressures or pressures that come without notification.
There are many people in our world who are crying babies. Once they see anything happening difficult they cries like children. On the other hand there are people who smiles in the time of crises. The glory is for those who live lovely in pressures. Once you shall be aware of how to love pressures to work them, then you shall automatically know how to give pressure to pressures. It is all because pressure is precious
